Women's Self Defense Class

On Thursday, September 4 from 6:30-8:00 pm, the library will hold a Women’s Self Defense class, taught by local martial arts Master and instructor Gary Evarts.  Participants can expect to learn different techniques and strategies, and even if you’ve had this class before, this is a good time for a refresher.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn to be safe.  This program is free and open to all teen and adult women.

Learn about 3D printing, its possibilities and see the library's Makerbot 3D printer in action. For all ages please pre-register.

Okay, Okay you probably read the book and saw this movie in the theater--but here's one more opportunity to see Hazel and Gus two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey -- on the big screen. We will supply the tissues and popcorn.

Mrs. Kay's Corner returns for Toddlers and Preschoolers

If you have a Toddler (ages 2 yrs-3 yrs old) or a preschooler (4 yrs - 5 yrs old) we invite you to join us for Mrs. Kay's Corner. Mrs. Kay Storms is a retired nursery school teacher with years of experience introducing the youngest members of our community to stories, music and crafts that build listening, fine motor and early literacy skills as well peer interaction.  

Classes resume this fall on September 8th. No registration is required. The Toddler class runs from 9:45 am -10:30 am and the PreSchool class runs 10:45 am to 11:45 am. Each class meets on Mondays and is free of charge.

The Library will be closed on Saturday, August 30 and September 1 in honor of Labor Day Weekend!  We wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday. Our Saturdays hours (10 am - 2 pm) return on September 6.

Williamson Patrons can now Download Music for Free

Patrons with a library card from the Williamson Library can download for free up to three songs or one video and one song per week via the library's Freegal subscription.  Downloads are limited and the counter is reset each Monday. You do not have to return the music and can add each week to your personal library. There are three options for downloading music:

1) Go directly to the Freegal website, enter your Williamson Library card barcode, search via song, artist or genre. Download music to your home computer -- within the library connect using your laptop. Materials will be downloaded to your computer as MP3 files.

2) Download the free Apple App using Freegal for Apple devices. Once the App is loaded go directly to the Freegal site from your device. Songs will be loaded to your Apple device.

3) Download the free Google App using Freegal for Android devices. Once the App is loaded go directly to the Freegal site from your device. Songs will be loaded to your android device.

Freegal offers access to approximately 7 million songs. The collection is comprised of music from over 28,000 labels originating from over 80 countries.

"In Stitches"

Do you knit, crochet, or enjoy another needle art?

"In Stitches" is the place for you!
Bring your projects to the library for some uninterrupted craft time and friendly conversation.

If you get stuck, experienced crafter Kristen will be on hand to help you out of a jam.

No registration or commitment is necessary. Just bring those works-in-progress to the Williamson Public Library, and join us for an hour of friends and fun.

There are never fines charged for the times that the library is closed. If you don't want to venture out but the library is still open, feel free to call to renew your materials or go to to renew online.
